    This panel is part of a larger research network project, Eurovision and the ‘New’ Europe, which aims to advance critical thinking about the contemporary Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), focusing on the ways in which the Contest has reflected, and perhaps driven, changing perceptions and realities of Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall. This discussion will reflect on this year’s entries and voting in this context. Panelists include Barry Viniker (editor, esctoday.com) and Dr. Milija Gluhovic (School of Theatre, Performance, and Cultural Studies, University of Warwick, UK; and Eurovision correspondent for BBC Serbia)
