Brian Singleton
Brian is Professor of Drama at Trinity College Dublin, is a lifelong Eurovision fan, and has been involved in Eurovision research since 2006. He co-presented a keynote on Eurovision with Karen Fricker and Elena Moreo at the Queer Eurovision conference in Helsinki in May, 2007. His academic publications on Eurovision include: “Performing the Queer Network: Divas, Fans, and Families at the Eurovision Song Contest”, with Elena Moreo and Brian Singleton. SQS 2 (7) (Journal of Queer Studies in Finland), Spring 2008. “Part of the Show: The Global Networking of Irish Eurovision Song Contest Fans”, with Elena Moreo and Brian Singleton. Brian served on the jury which decided the 2010 Maltese entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. He is a member of OGAE Ireland and a member of the Eurovision and the 'New' Europe research project.
